2006 LSC Annual Meeting A Huge Success

Lake Spivey Community, Inc. held its first annual meeting on Saturday, February 25, 2006. Members convened at Lake Spivey Golf Club for breakfast, networking, committee reports and annual elections. Delegates from 16 different homeowners' associations representing 1,102 households attended. This represents approximately half of the households and homeowner's associations within the loose geographical boundaries of Lake Spivey Community, Inc. Of the organization's inaugural founders, Jim Buckman was elected as President, Don McMillan as Vice President and Michael Edmondson as Treasurer. Charlotte Schroeder will be the organization's Secretary. Sally Davis, David Durham, Phil McMullin and Cephus Jackson complete the board of directors for 2006. Current members include the following 16 homeowners' associations: Betony Woods, Emerald Glen, Heritage Ridge, Johnson Woods, Lake Jodeco, Lake Spivey Country Club, Spivey Orchard Estates and The Summit at Lake Jodeco. Bay View, Edgewater, Emerald Drive, Forest Estates, Lost Valley, North Shore, South Bay and The Landings are represented by Lake Spivey Civic Association. Lake Spivey Community, Inc. is a non-profit corporation organized and operated by volunteers. Lake Spivey Community, Inc. represents its neighborhood and homeowners' association members to address the common needs and interests of the community. Its mission is to promote a sense of community, provide leadership and support for responsible growth and to create a positive identity for the area.
